The movie starts where B13 ended.

Damien the cop, drives his buddy Leito to the gates of B13. Damien promises him, that the government will do its best to give B13 a new start. Fade to black. Two years later, the government has changed, but not the rest.

B13 has gotten worse with gangs dividing the area into mini ghettos. Black, Chinese, Arabs, Italians, Easterners, each handling its specialty such as weapons, computers, drugs. Among that mess, Leito’s dream to put down the walls seems far, far away. [Map]

In Paris, DAMIEN works as an outstanding cop, fighting drug dealers. The President of France even wants to give him a medal. But the president is surrounded by an advisor who is not as good as him. This man gets bribed by a company called Haliburton, to convince the President to destroy B13 in order to get the budget to rebuild the place.

In order to do so, they must create chaos among the gangs so that the only answer to riots will be to blow up B13. Of course that is without Damien and Leito on the way.

B13 is a great action movie. A lot of very cool stunts and what one liked on the 1st movie, is back on that second one. Both Damien/Leito are doing an excellent job jumping around Paris and fighting cops. There is humor but no blood. The film is really meant for all audiences.

The acting is pretty basic but if they can’t play, for sure they can run. There is a real message of peace and love in the movie. Almost naïve like most American movies where we should all love each other and walk hand in hand to succeed, but on B13U, it works out and it’s fun. Not common in French movies, and that’s why we have to acknowledge this positive attempt.

The gang leaders are all famous rap singers (in real life). Stunts are performed by both actors and the opening sequence where Damien is dressed like a sexy Chinese hooker fighting drug dealers while holding a 200 million Euros‘s painting of Van Gogh is a fun moment.

Definitely a fun movie and a great 2nd Part to see as soon as it’s released in the US. Plus getting to see action movies in Paris is always a change from the streets of LA or NYC.

Husna berhasil menjadi psikolog dan penulis terbaik nasional. Lia lulus PGSD, dan menjadi guru favorit di SDIT Al Ksutsar Solo. Sementara adik bungsunya,Sarah, hampir khatam menghafalkan Al Quran di Pesantren Al Quran di Kudus.

Isi surat antara Azzam dengan adiknya juga mencerminkan betapa besar kasih sayang dan pengorbanan seorang kakak kepada adik adiknya.

Kemampuan Azzam dalam menyelesaikan berbagai masalah dalam kondisi yang serba sulit inilah, yang menjadikan novel ini begitu menarik. Melalui tokoh utama, Azzam, Habib berhasil meniupkan roh atau jiwa entrepreneurship sejati. Ruh entrepreneurship sejati ini diantaranya: kreatif menciptakan dan mengemas ide baru untuk kemakmuran diri dan orang orang yang dicintainya( kreatif inovatif), berani mengambil resiko, menyukai tantangan, memiliki daya tahan hidup yang luar biasa, pantang menyerah, selalu ingin menyuguhkan yang terbaik, serta memiliki visi yang jauh kedepan.

Kisah Azzam sebagai tokoh utama tentu di bumbui dengan kisah tokoh tokoh lainnya yang tidak kalah seru. Kisah cinta segitiga khas mahasiswa dalam novel ini menjadikan alur cerita menjadi sedemikian romantis. Mau tidak mau, pembaca harus rela diaduk aduk perasaannya, mulai dari gemas, sedih, dan gembira. Yang jelas novel ini kaya warna. Saya sering tersenyum sendiri saat membayangkan Habib “memain-mainkan” perasaan pembaca dengan goresan penanya.

Ketulusan dan cinta. Itulah salah satu kekuatan karya Habib. Dengan ketulusan dan cinta yang apa adanya, disertai dengan keyakinan kuat dalam dirinya, Habib merajut kata demi kata, menjadi sedemikian indah, menarik,menyentuh hati, dan membawa pembaca seolah olah merasakan itu sebagai sesuatu yang nyata.

Habib berhasil menciptakan tokoh rekaan yang “selalu menjaga kesucian”. Seperti Fahri (Ayat Ayat Cinta), Zahid ( Di Atas Sajadah Cinta), Raihana (Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra), Zahrana ( dalam Mihrab Cinta), dan Azzam (Ketika Cinta Bertasbih).

Sesuai dengan misinya untuk berdakwah melalui pena, Habib sengaja memberikan alternatif bacaan positif buat masyarakat Indonesia. Tentu saja fenomena “tokoh suci” rekaannya tersebut, dipandang aneh dan bahkan ada yang mencibirkan. Maklumlah, selama ini masyarakat Indonesia memang banyak dijejali dengan cerita yang tidak mendidik. Sehingga ketika melihat tokoh “malaikat” dalam karya Habib, mereka melihatnya sebagai sesuatu yang terlalu dilebih lebihkan. Padahal keunggulan dan ke”alim”an tokoh yang diciptakan Habib sebetulnya masih dalam taraf biasa saja. Seandainya masyarakat sudah biasa disuguhi dengan karakter positif yang di perankan para tokoh tersebut.

Di lihat dari sudut pandang sastra, bahasa yang digunakan Habib memang biasa biasa saja. Bahasa yang dia pakai tidak seperti bahasa karya sastra lainnya yang cenderung puitis dan kadang sulit dipahami. Justru disitulah kekuatan karya Habib. Semua kalangan bisa menikmatinya tanpa harus berpikir keras untuk memahami rajutan kata yang dirangkainya.

Saya berharap Habib konsisten menampilkan tokoh “malaikat” dalam setiap karyanya, sehingga masyarakat akan semakin terbiasa dan menerima itu sebagai sebuah keniscayaan.
Disinilah dakwah dan tantangan Habib yang sesungguhnya.
