HALF LIFE:
The first ever fps game I've ever played, it took my breath away.Half life released in 1988 by valve is one of the best ever fps games created . The gameplay uses a linear style of proceeding through the game where you have loads of puzzles to solve and of course fight your way through monsters and misguided soldiers.
The Plot:
you are a scientist(Gordan Freeman) assisting in a scientific experiment, but then something goes wrong and an inter-dimensional portal is opened through which aliens start coming out. Your job is to kick alien ass and save the world. The AI in the game is one of the best ever, especially the marine soldiers. There have been many modifications of the original half life game like blueshift,counter strike,etc. Counter Strike being the most famous of them. Counter Strike became so famous that it started out as a separate game!!!. The game also has a new way of loading levels where levels are loaded quickly as you progress trough areas. You don't get the feeling of entering new levels, it plays out as a continuous stretch. Old but gold is all I can say about this game. It has a sequel Half life 2 which is as good as the original
